Swan Consultancy has immediate openings for Public Relations Account Executive (AE) and Senior Account Executive (SAE).

The AE role provides key support to assigned team leader to ensure a high-level of productivity and efficiency is maintained. The SAE is a crucial role and a mid-level management role with 5+ years of experience in the industry, particularly in public relations and investor relations communications.

Account Executive

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Prepares communication materials involved in the implementation of public relations programmes, investor relations programmes, marketing or social media campaign on behalf of clients including, but not limited to, drafting, proofreading and distribution of correspondence, press release, media invitations and media pitches.
  • Manages visual and content creation for social media campaigns.
  • Plans and executes press conferences, briefings, corporate and private events, as assigned.
  • Assists team leader in crisis communications situations, as directed.
  • Coordinates photo and video shoots for publications, social media channels, presentations and other communication initiatives, as assigned.
  • Conducts media monitoring on print, online media, television and radio on a daily basis. Clips or copies all client referenced and competitor and related industry news stories. Generates reports and sends immediately to client.
  • Prepares reports for clients including activity and media monitoring reports, as assigned.
  • Manages and updates media contact database and preparing distribution lists.
  • Reviews daily media opportunities and alerts team to pertinent issues/opportunities.
  • Responds to client, vendor, and media requests, as assigned.
  • Prepares agendas and reports for meetings.
  • Performs general administrative duties to support the team leader.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Knowledge and understanding of the role of communications in marketing and public relations.
  • Possess strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to perform under pressure.
  • Strong ability to focus on accuracy, attention-to-detail, and timeliness.
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented environment under supervision and independently.
  • Ability to prioritize workload and multi-task.
  • Capacity to work evenings and/or weekends if needed.

Job Requirements:

Minimum:

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in marketing, public relations, journalism, communications or related field. SPM and three years’ experience in a marketing environment may be substituted for the Bachelor’s degree.
  • At least one (1) year experience in marketing, public relations, media or related field.
  • Possess high degree of professionalism.
  • Strong desire to learn and grow in the public relations/marketing/communications field.
  • Possess a valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.

Preferred:

  • Experience working with Office 365 and related applications.
  • Previous experience in advertising and/or event management and public relations.

Senior Account Executive

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develops realistic communications materials involved in the implementation of public relations programs, investor relations programs and/or digital media campaign on behalf of clients including, but not limited to, drafting, proofreading and distribution of correspondence, press release, media invitations and media pitches.
  • Manages, leads and retains clients.
  • Acts as a trust advisor, provides strategic counsel and communications plan to clients.
  • Leads and strategises the development of materials including press statements, fact sheets and investor presentation slides.
  • Leads and supervises the planning and execution of events, i.e., investor briefings, press conferences, corporate and private functions.
  • Plans, strategises and leads crisis communications situations.
  • Mentors and facilitates team to produce excellent work for clients and enhance team development.
  • Possess a strong commercial awareness and a driver of efficiency and profitability of accounts.
  • Builds and maintains client relationship to lead business retention and new business generation.
  • Possesses the ability to work on budget planning.
  • Reviews daily media opportunities and alerts team to pertinent issues/opportunities.
  • Responds to client, vendor, and media requests.
  • Checks and ensures reports and documents are in good order prior to any distribution.
  • Supervises agendas and reports for meetings.
  • Performs general administrative duties and day-to-day responsibility for managing work streams for assigned clients.
  • Supervises, manages, mentors, facilitates and motivates team members.
  • Manages visual and/or content creation for digital media campaigns.

  • Strong understanding of the synergy between public relations and investor relations. Understanding of digital media and crisis management.
